Technically I dont leave until Saturday but to be honest, if not now when, so I'm doing my packing now.. Keen? Maybe. Excited? Definitely! For those who dont know (Get with the program!) I'm going to Salamanca on my school spanish trip, quickly followed by a trip to see my Grandparents in Valencia, where I shall be staying! As far as I know, the weather will not be too bad (TOUCH WOOD) and I am faced with the problem of justifying bringing 14 tops, 5 dresses, 4 skirts, 3 shirts, 2 pairs of shorts, 4 pairs of trousers- including dungarees, 2 jumpers, 4 cardigans, a jacket, a coat and make up/ belts/ jewelry/ boots/ flats/ heels/ sunglasses and sufficient revision books. It is clearly all going well- I guess I will have to sacrifice those revision books...shame... Situation not helped by the fact my suitcase is ridiculously small! Do you think I can hire someone to make these decisions for me???
To make matters worse, I really should be doing History controlled assessment tomorrow and french writing on wednesday...I wont go on but anyone doing GCSEs will be able to sympathise! In order to get said work done I did an epic tidy of my desk.
Thats how bad things are. That actually excites me. Right well when I sort out the packing situation I will give word. And sorry for the dull post. Anything but work eh? Oh yeah and 2 and a half days left of school uniform!!!

Keeping it brief due to an unstable pile of homework on my desk which makes me want to cry everytime I look at it..
Although I have never watched an ice hockey game in my life, I am now the owner of a personalized New York Rangers T-shirt. Why you ask? Because when my Dad goes to NYC, that is what he brings back. Now I'm not saying anything against the T-Shirt (or the NYRangers) as I was pleasantly surprised by it, being a good colour, good fit, generally good. The thing is, it says 'Noodles' on the back. Where this nickname stemmed from I am not sure but I guess its official now! Noodle or no noodle (Say that quickly 5 times!), I wore it to Stan's birthday party on Saturday night! Was very good fun, I took about 600 photos over the night, and in my opinion, everyone looked gorgeous. So without further ado here are some of the better photos (from a fashion point of view):

Seeing as this collection was Spring '11 couture, I realise its a bit over due but I meant to do a blog about it at the time... Either way here it is now! This collection embodies most of the reasons I got into fashion in the first place (for the real, actual reason, see Galliano's Dior couture show...ahh Galliano, sort out your life!) because it is really beautiful. Not personally such a fan of the headgear but I'm willing to let that slide for the chiffon and swans. This collection was by Riccardo Tisci, inspired by Japan.
If you are one of my friends, you will have probably seen this collection because I waved it in your face a few times! The colour scheme and sheerness (I know- I'm very predictable) is so dreamy.
And more recently, Sarah Burton's latest for Alexander McQueen- held in the very same prison that Marie Antoinette was held in...familiar? Yes but this time minus the wolves. I will let the pictures speak for themselves. Only one word really comes to mind and that is Silhouette.

How mad is that?? But with the finishing off of all my GCSE courses, its all been a bit manic with coursework left right and centre with music performances and auditions thrown around. So glad its Friday! It is the birthday party of the lovely Stan tomorrow and she has entrusted me with the responsibility of entertaining everyone. I will be sure to post how that goes!

It is the most sunny beautiful day of the year so far, and this morning I tagged along with my parents for a bit of light shopping. Essentially, when my dad says shopping, he means us going and helping him choose another Superdry T-Shirt and confirming more than once that his brief case is manly enough for him. (For the record it was). There was only so much time in the mens section I could take so I wandered off in search of a trench coat for my upcoming trip to Salamanca and a new school bag which could potentially double as a handbag! For once, there was nothing in Topshop so I popped into Zara- the only place with about 5 different styles of trench coat on sale. What I saw amazed me. Zara is SO good this season. Literally Amazing. I cant even count the things I decided I must have, when I have money of course! It wasnt long before I had tried on all the XS Beige Trench coats on sale and was happily walking to the tills. Then it all got even better! I saw the most perfectly appropriate/soft/gorgeous bag. Despite it being about £50 out of my personally allocated price range, it was the kind of bag that you dont come across more than once in a while so it was a wholly successful shopping trip!
To make the most of the perfect weather, I picked up my perfect bag (Sadly the perfect coat had the alarm left on it so I am going back tomorrow....) and went out with the dog and met Susie for a walk in the woods. To say we took a lot of photos would be an understatement- I thought my laptop would crash from over-uploading them but its fine! I was really feeling navy blue as it wasnt really that warm. Going to a picnic tomorrow for my friend Ellen's birthday so hopefully the weather will stay like this. I feel that Friday's sunset deserves a mention, the most stunning shade of pink anyone has ever seen! Really really want to be sewing again but there is just no time. Calculated that my GCSEs are just a couple of months away! PANIC!

Sorry its been quite a while since my last post! Last Night my parents treated me and my brother to a trip to the Royal Opera House to see Swan Lake. Finally! An excuse to dress up! Except, after my brother got home late from the football then decided he needed a shower, it became clear that quite a lot of running would be necessary and my new asos heels "Just wouldn't be practical!". Well granted as those shoes are anything but practical but I have only worn them once so far and that really breaks my heart! I might start wearing them to the shops...provided I dont have to walk there! Anyway slightly off the point. We went through the maddest of rushes to get there before it was too late - if you are too late you have to watch the act on a TV screen and go in at the interval, so after jumping on to the train and diving into the first available taxi, we managed to arrive in perfect timing, smoothly strolled to our seats and basically collapsed. For once I accepted that M had been right on the shoe front but she need not know that! As the music started I remembered how beautiful ballet was- after all, I dreamt of being a ballerina until I was about 10 as well as Swan Lake being the ballet in my opinion with the best music (Tchaikovsky is my favourite composer). As can only be expected, the costumes were beautiful and you would be mad(or my brother) to not have been captivated by the prima ballerina, Tamara Rojo, who is of course Spanish! I believe it was her first night dancing as Odette/Odile and she did a perfect job. I've been lucky enough to see her dance a few times before now but this time she was breathtaking. Back to costumes- The most beautiful costume was probably that of the black swan (and no I still haven't seen that film!) but the ones I particularly liked were the ones worn by the other swans as they were so delicate and they moved so well, contributing to this, as my dad put it whilst we were leaving, "The swans were on top form!". Aside from the ballet it self, the atmosphere at the ROH is so amazing and I spotted more than one Chanel suits around and a rather stunning black Valentino- kicking myself but I was too shy to ask for a photo without my heels on (Im inadequate without them!)

Having said earlier that I never get the chance to dress up, that is probably not true as on Friday night I attended a costume party as little bo-peep. It was here that I showcased the new heels but i will refrain from posting a picture... If shes reading, many thanks to Harriet for an amazing night!
My Ultimate Style Icon is obviously going to be Audrey Hepburn. Why? How much time do you have! Words to describe her style are elegant, chic, classic, iconic (LBD anyone?), sophisticated, elegant and elegant. She was able to pull most looks off because of her dancer's figure (which I envy) and I really dont think I've ever seen a picture of her where she doesn't look the embodiment of perfection, even when she was older! Perfect smile, amazing actress, amazing dancer, amazing singer AND endless supply of Givenchy. We live in a cruel world. I really wish I had her haircut but sadly I am not blessed with the bone-structure... Obviously I can't not mention Breakfast at Tiffanys, my all time absolute favourite film ever in which she plays Holly Golighty, a bubbly and painfully stylish woman living in New York with her cat, Cat. If you havnt seen it, you are mad. Go and see it immediately. Other amazing films with Audrey: Funny Face (With Fred Astaire- all singing, all dancing, all fashion), Roman Holiday (With Gregory Peck- Audrey naturally playing a princess) My Fair Lady....etc!

When searching around in the upstairs cupboard (Where mostly boxes and suitcases are kept) I came across a rather nice Paisley, matador style jacket. On further inquiry, it turns out that M bought it back in the day from a fresh designer calledLee Bender. Well that was about 20 years ago so I doubt she is still fresh but still, click on her name to be whisked away to her website! But as it is no longer to M's taste, it is now mine!!! The excitement at this was, as you can imagine, fairly huge as the jacket is shoulder padded perfection! Better still, the detailing on the back ensures that it is a good fit round the waist and the neckline is interesting and eye catching with a rope trim. I cant wait to wear it! Surprisingly, despite the colour, it goes with quite a lot of things in my wardrobe, which I wasnt expecting.

If it is possible to be in love with a jacket, then I am in love.
On a slightly less wonderful note, it is World Book Day tomorrow (Luckily as it is just what I need in my life at the moment) and because its our last year of being able to dress up, my class is going all out and we are going as full cast of Peter Pan. I am a pirate, which is good as it is easy however it does mean that I get to spend the day wearing an eyepatch. Enough said really.
