Pretty Things: Prints

Its probably the hot and sunny weather here in Tuscany that has sparked my desperate need for more print in my life. Not only that, but I was feeling very... suitcase- weight conscious when I packed so somehow have very little to wear (badly judged). This has resulted in me mixing up combinations to make a slightly unusual effect so that I dont run out of outfits. Well thats the reasoning between this parrot-and-pink-dress combo, which I thought was quite cool but judging from the confused/'youth of today"/ baffled looks I received from some of the older generation while out to lunch, perhaps not.

I was going for a layered underwear-is-outerwear theme and I liked the colour clash with the pink dress and the green, yellow, red parrots.

We spent the other day in Florence slight seeing. It is a beautiful city and it was really really hot but due to the fact we were visiting cathedrals and churches, you have to dress in a certain way. The cathedral itself was lovely, even after the 2 hour wait to get in, which usually would have put me off...

This Topshop Deco print Midi Skirt is probably one of my most over worn items in the wardrobe (any regular readers of this blog are probably sick of it by now so sorry!) but it is perfect for wandering round the city in. Possibly a bit floaty for climbing the cathedral dome, with all the steep stairs (might have accidentally flashed a security guard going down some basically ladder like steps..oops) but that incident aside...
