Christmas

This year I spent Christmas with my grandparents in yorkshire, along with aunts, uncles, cousins and obviously my parents and brother. It's been busy to say the least and typically after a long drawn out Christmas eve, Christmas day itself passed by in a flash, leaving me now in a somewhat stressed mindset as it has finally struck me how much work I need to do. As I no longer have the excuse of watching 'unmissable' christmas specials on TV, I have had to commit to English coursework and an unreasonable amount of painting, so I have decided to post you some pictures of some of the lovely gifts I have received this Christmas in a tribute to instagram ( on my new iPhone 4S- you no longer have to endure the awful picture quality of the past year- woohoo!) as my outfits have been, as per usual, pathetic due to threat of ruining with our old friend, acrylic paint.

Sorry to post another Christmas tree, but this one was massive and looked rather good! Plus I love christmas trees so what can you do!

These are my so far unopened Topshop socks- I received a number as both my mum and brother are fed up with me stealing theirs (Literally where do socks go?!) so I got a vast selection of, in some cases, funky printed socks. Also shown here is some crazy cool note-paper-donkey-contraption which will mean my room will no longer be scattered with the evidence of my verging on OCD list obsession.
Here. folded somewhat awkwardly (if it is possible for a jumper to be awkward) on my bedspread, are my two Topshop jumpers (Topshop was where it was all happening this Christmas!). Both navy blue, one with shoulder and elbow leather panels and the other with a sailor's collar- what you can see there is the back view- the front did not do it justice!
My Audrey 2012 Calender, so every month my wall can be adorned with her timeless stylishness and I can look to her for inspiration when I forget to meet homework deadlines, and my satisfying stack of hardbacked books, all of which are filled with hours of blissfull picture browsing and distraction-from-work potential. On the bottom is a book about past collections of Chanel, which makes me want to pull out my pearl necklace and go and buy myself woven material to get cracking on a suit of my own (because lets be honest, I will never be able to splash out on an original!) . Next up is a very very heavy  history of Art, which will come in very handy with the countless essays I have to do! Above this is another heavy book which is filled by any up and coming designer you can think of, with designer's sketches right through to the finished pieces draped artistically on etherial models strutting on glowing catwalks. Finally the 'Fashion Box' which holds all the timeless pieces from the LBD to white shirts, shown through stills from movies, photoshoots and snapshots. It makes for some very inspiring reading, and shows you exactly what is missing from your wardrobe!
I have no shame in admitting my devotion to all things Harry Potter related and as all my films from the old days (and thats films 1-4) are damaged thanks to over watching, my brother bought me the entire octology so I can gaze adoringly at Rupert Grint for as long as I please!

And finally are my fabulous new shoes! I have been a member of stylistpick for a few months now but these were my first purchase and they are so awesome that I am planning to be spending a lot more time (and money) on more accessories in the future! They are refreshingly unconventional, with the wedge/chunky heel and I cant wait to wear them out, after a bit of walking around the house in them though because they are deceptively high and I am slightly out of practice!

Well then, thats all I have to say for now- I hope to post before New Year but if I dont, HAPPY 2012!

I hope all of my wonderful readers had a fabulous christmas!
LB xx
